The locations is fantastic. The gold facilities are great. The open buffet breakfast and dinner were delicious. The staff is kind and helpful. The only thing I didn't like is that they're room have no king size beds - in all rooms (except the apartments as they explained) the double bed is made of two single beds put together. That was a disappointment. The SPA and pool area were very pleasant and clean.

Fantastic hotel, very nice rooms and worth the upgrade to the lake view for an extra 20лв. The restaurant has a huge selection of very fresh, tasty food and the breakfast was also very good other than the sausages. The hotel has a very large spa area with Finnish sauna, steam room, relaxation areas which makes the visit complete. My only concern was having to get towels from the staff outside smoking who were never on the spa reception. All in all, we would definitely return and enjoy this luxurious hotel. Thank you!!

Bonito hotel ... pero no bailando ... las habitaciones no son 100%. Por ejemplo, me rasqué con el chorro de ducha que estaba viejo y se estaba pelando. Las habitaciones son un poco viejas y el mobiliario interior no está del todo limpio. Oxidación en la jabonera, moho en las siliconas y los portarrollos viejos y rotos (con un solo rollo pequeño) y reemplazados con un tornillo. La comida no es buena y los días que se repiten las tartas de buffet. Te obligan a firmar las reglas anticovidias, luego encuentras gente en el Salón y por los pasillos sin máscara y el personal no le dice nada a nadie. Mesa de ping pong con nuestras raquetas personales, exterior. Empiezo a jugar con un amigo y una señora sale y nos pide 5 apalancamiento para jugar sin que haya carteles que indiquen que se pagó. Cables desnudos un poco por todas partes. Inseguro para los niños y para quienes no lo noten. Bonita figura ... para el resto mira las fotos

Our stay was very satisfying. We had delicious breakfast and dinner with an amazing and calming lake view. The staff was friendly, our room was clean and the hotel had every COVID-19 precautions. I wish the diner had more options but I fully understand it depends on the business of the hotel.

Outdoor swimming pool is not part of the hotel. You must pay 10lv additional fee. Also, it is forbidden to use the internal swimming pool without swimming hat. It is not mentioned in the reservation form. The room was clean and roomy.

I have visited this hotel 5 years ago and the memories I had were much better than my experience now. First there is no mini bar in the rooms, only two 330 ml. waters, which are obviously not enough. Therefore you would need to pay 5 leva for not even a big bottle of water in the lobby bar. The coffee served in the restaurant for breakfast, which is included in the price, is far from good and if you want a better one, again, you have to pay an extortionate amount for it in the lobby or 3,50 for a 250ml. bottle of coke. You pay above average price for this hotel, which has the word SPA included in the name, but if you want to use it you have to pay for it separately - Sauna, relax room, etc. Every single thing in the spa is paid separately, which I find appalling. Am I supposed to go to the Spa with my wallet and pay for each room I want to go into? It’s normal for massages or some more special treatments to be charged additionally, but advertising your hotel for its SPA center and charging your guests additionally is just disgusting. There is an outdoor pool in the premises of the hotel, but it is maintained by an outside company and you have to pay for it. This sounds very stupid to me, but I was ready to pay until I was met by the most rude and hostile man working there. He had the worst attitude towards us and made me feel so uncomfortable. After all your business depends on me and other customers like me and it is unacceptable to treat them in such manner without any reason. Even if it is a separate company the hotel guests are going there and this attitude makes up their opinion for the hotel as well. This hotel obviously lays on old glory and the view of the lake and mountain, but this is so not enough to keep your customers happy. I will definitely never return to this place, because if you don’t know how to take my money in a normal way I will not let you treat me like a fool. If I have chosen to stay in your hotel I obviously can afford it and am happy to give you my money, but you do bot know how take them properly and there are plenty of other places, which offer much better services.

Hotel is a bit worn but still quite nice. The room was clean and the view was gorgeous. However, the food in the restaurant is average at best

This hotel used to be very nice but in an effort to be so north Western European clean, this turned to ridiculous. Such as having to wear head masks in the pool even though I am bald. Buffet food although with quite a choice was just about lousy. Bathrobes worn out. Coming out from two boutique hotels where the experience was very good made us feel unwelcome for more than double the price.

The hotel is very grand and presented well with spacious surroundings..I have visited here many times and in general I have been satisfied. On this occassion the hotel had just reopened. Service was good at reception and in the restaurant but lacking in terms of room service...it could have been much better and the attitude of the housekeeping staff was poor!. The hotel is very expensive compared to similar resorts. If your on a budget better to look elsewhere....5.50 leva for a bottle of still water!@

Hotel Riu looks amazing, however, I was not guest of the hotel, only visited the park and the cafe in the hotel. I was amazed of how many fishes are in the lake. There are very beautiful gardens around the hotel. Great place for photographing portraits, especially around the golden hour.
