A wonderful hideaway in the center of Lisbon. There is an air of grandeur (but not pomposity) about the place, especially in the grand vaulted hallways and public rooms. Sheer refinement. The staff are wonderful - their friendly attitude and efforts made us feel like home from the first moment. No detail was overlooked. Amenities are all excellent - we made full use of the gym, indoor heated pool and spa. Everything was perfectly clean and high quality. Even the food surprised us - the in-house smoked salmon and duck magret were divine and the selection of cocktails and wines was great. We’ll certainly be coming back!

Hotel de charme 5 estrelas na Ajuda. Localização sossegada, perto do rio e de Monsanto. Boas amenidades e serviço de qualidade. Edifico clássico que contrasta com restante hotel mais moderno. Tem um pouco de tudo.

Beautiful hotel, located in an old palace with two additional wings built next to it and therewith surrounding the beautiful garden. In the end of the garden, you can find the gym, an outdoor pools, and an indoor pool. The rooms are OK, but honestly more 3 stars than anything else. Not too big and the bathroom was pretty old fashioned and small. The staff is very friendly and amazing in supporting their guests. The breakfast is really good too with a wide selection of food. Fruits, eggs, meats, fish, breads, etc. Location is very nice too, although a bit further away from the city center. But Ubers are very inexpensive. Overall, I felt at home and the only remark is that it doesn't feel to me as a 5 stars hotel (except for the building and staff).

I leave my comment again via leaving. The hotel was beautiful and every staff were very friendly. The bar and piano playing at night were lovely too.

Again, the best Palace in Lisbon, we can find to realize a Ceremonial Gala. For a few years we do our annual ceremonies in Pestana Palace, and it's been a pleasure to Work with an Excellent Team of High Level Professionals. Fabuloso hotel. Com jardins fabulosos. Atendimento e todo o serviço de qualidade muito superior. Os quartos são magníficos. Tem uma Spa maravilhoso. A piscina interior é interessante. A exterior é fabulosa. Com toda a decoração do palácio original, incluindo a capela. Muita elegância.

The pictures of the palace and grounds speak for themselves, but all I can say is wow, what fantastic staff. All the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, but in particular, Luiza and Miguel went above and beyond to help us, before, during and after our stay. In terms of hospitality, it is perhaps the best hotel I have stayed at in Europe.

I was expecting more from a hotel that positions itself as a 5-star. The hotel is nice, but not a 5 star in my view. The highlight is the facilities and its structure, good location, specially if you rented a car and in a historical building with cared gardens and nice pool. The food and kitchen service was the downside. The staff is mostly very nice and proactive. The breakfast is nice. The pool bar is average and expensive, it takes a lot of time to be served (1 person serving too many people when I was there), food took 70+ minutes to come (simple pasta with red sauce from kid’s menu) and the food was not super good. The dinner for me was a big disappointment, very expensive and the food was really average. Way better to go outside of the hotel. We had the unfortunate situation that we went for dinner at the same time of a wedding that was happening in the hotel and the service was horrible, it took ages for the food to come (50+ minutes again) and some options were not available due the wedding (like for example a basic mashed potatoes from the kid’s menu). They were clearly prioritizing the wedding over the “normal” guests which was really disappointing. If you are vegetarian or vegan, this is not a place for you. The options are extremely limited and not at all tasty. I expected more from a 5 star hotel.

Boa tarde Estive hoje por volta de 11de manhã no Pestana Palace hotel para carregar o carro Tesla Tive que levar a minha irmã com o outro carro e fiquei muito desapontado,humilhao quando o vosso fincionario pediu a chaves so carro de minha irma que veio so acompanhar-me .Menciono que o meu carro Tesla encontrava-se no piso -2 para carregar e o carro de minha irma que ficou sem chaves estava no estaconamento exterior junto a hotel!Nao vim de Suica para robarnada aqui no vosso hotel!Acho uma falta de respito e garanto que vou dizer a todosos meus amigos e conhecidos o acontecimento!Menciono que o meu carro estava atras das cancela so abrem quando a recepcao do hotel o permite.Por isso fiquei preso la ,e nao consiguimos ir comer,ja que o carro ficava no minimo 6 horas na carga!Muito humilhados nos sentimos eu e a minha irma!!!Se acontecia isso no pais onde vivo era caso de tribunal!Por isso espero que remediam o vosso erro o mais rapido posivel!Ninguem tem direito aprenderviatura como garantia por 6euros!

Realmente único, no conozco otro hotel en Portugal con ésta categoría, no con ésta clase. El palacete clásico crea un magnífico ambiente, amplios salones y espacios comunes, salón de desayuno con vistas a la terraza y al jardín, tiene otras dos alas anexas y zona de ocio, gimnasio, piscina al aire libre, piscina climatizada, jardines con cafetería, etc. Resalta la amabilidad de los recepcionistas y su profesionales, en realidad desde el portero hasta el personal de servicio. La última vez me acompañaban mis hijas y tuvimos una habitación muy amplia y confortable. La ubicación no es céntrica, pero su estilo y servicio lo compensa todo. Excelente.

Maravilloso Palacio, excelente desayuno, jardines y salones, no tanto la suite junior, algo caduca en decoración...y ala restauración le falta un hervor para estar al nivel que debería,aún así, un hotel de lujo encantador y de gran valor patrimonial. Excelente personal entrenado para agradar y facilitar todo. El hotel en si tiene una excelente relación calidad precio , en habitaciones y restauración, aunque excesivamente caro en bar bebidas y servicios.... en resumen un gran hotel , a la altura de las mejores ciudades del mundo,con algunos fallos ... y deficiencias ..pero que no estropean una estancia sublime. Para amantes del vintage y del lujo,o como experiencia a los que preferimos otro tipo de hoteles como es mi caso .

Very nice hotel. Be sure to read the fine print of your rooms when you register. There seems to be quite a difference in room size and amenities. Some have coffee makers. Some don’t. Some have balconies or porches and others do not. Our room ended up being quite dark and gloomy. Has very nice indoor and outdoor pools. Not quite big enough for lap swims but can do in a pinch. Has gym and on site spa for massages. Pool area also includes hot tub, sauna and steam bath. Breakfast bar is very nice. Lots of breads, fruits, cheeses and meats to choose from. Different styles of eggs, pastries, yogurts in cereals. Coffee, tea, juices, and mimosas available too. Really wish we could have such nice breakfast spreads in the states but hey, that’s one of the things that makes Europe special. Location is close to Belem and the Conference Center. Quite far from the down town tourist sites though.

This is an incredible hotel. Gorgeous gardens and an amazing view to the city. The hotel was indeed a palace and it is so, but so, beautiful inside. You feel you are in another time. Recommended by far.

Hermoso hotel...algo alejado del centro histórico pero si se busca un lugar tranquilo y elegante es ideal. Muy díficil encontrar las cosas hay que usar el mapa.

Hotel muy muy bonito un palacio y te sientes como una reina en todo momento el sitio es muy relajante el jardín exuberante y maravilloso y puedes pasear todo el día en la piscina es preciosa y la piscina interior el jacuzzi la sauna son gratis el palacio es muy bonito y está muy bien cuidado el desayuno está bastante bien y están muy pendientes de ti todo el tiempo desde que llega y te suben las maletas a la habitación hacer si te falta alguna toalla más y la habitación o algún detalle en el desayuno es un sitio ideal para parejas para descansar y para deleitarse con todo el entorno
